In every diagram you&#8217;ll see a pin named <strong>VDD<\/strong>. On the first installation you must <strong>leave VDD off-board<\/strong> (not connected) so the board can do the unlock. After unlock, the app tells you to solder it back.<\/p>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"eg-note\">\r\n          <strong>PS4 Pro only:<\/strong> in Pro diagrams you&#8217;ll see <strong>two<\/strong> VDD pins for Syscon glitching. Leave <strong>both<\/strong> off-board the first time. Follow the diagram \/ video.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"eg-note eg-note-danger\">\r\n          <strong>Check for shorts:<\/strong> make sure the VDD pin you left off-board is not shorted to the pin next to it. A short makes the app keep &#8220;trying to unlock&#8221; with no result and can damage the board.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 5 -->\r\n      <section id=\"inside\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">5<\/span> Installing inside the console (PSU)<\/h2>\r\n        <p>When installing the board inside a PS4, cut the PSU power line and pass it through <code>Vin \u2192 Vout<\/code> on the board. Follow the picture that matches your console:<\/p>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"eg-diagram-grid\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"Phat 10xxx \u2014 5-pin PSU wiring\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"Phat 11xxx \u2014 4-pin PSU wiring\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"Phat 12xxx \u2014 4-pin PSU wiring\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PS4 Slim \u2014 PSU wiring\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PS4 Pro \u2014 PSU wiring\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <h3>Board placement examples<\/h3>\r\n        <p>Use these as a reference for where to put the board inside the console:<\/p>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-diagram-grid\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-small\" data-ph=\"Phat 10xxx placement\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-small\" data-ph=\"Phat 11xxx placement\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-small\" data-ph=\"Phat 12xxx placement\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-small\" data-ph=\"Slim placement\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-small\" data-ph=\"Pro placement\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"eg-note eg-note-danger\">\r\n          <strong>Note:<\/strong> do not use a USB cable to power the board if you already connected <code>Vin<\/code> and <code>Vout<\/code> to the PS4 PSU.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 6 -->\r\n      <section id=\"power\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">6<\/span> Powering the board<\/h2>\r\n        <p>After all wires are connected, you have two ways to power the board:<\/p>\r\n        <ul class=\"eg-list\">\r\n          <li><strong>Outside the console:<\/strong> power using USB Type-C.<\/li>\r\n          <li><strong>Inside the console<\/strong> (Vin\/Vout connected): just plug the PS4 power cable.<\/li>\r\n        <\/ul>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-note eg-note-danger\">\r\n          <strong>Do not<\/strong> plug the PS4 power cable while powering from USB. Use one power source only, or you can damage the board.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <p>If everything is correct, the board&#8217;s Power LED will be <strong>red<\/strong>. Now you&#8217;re ready to use the app.<\/p>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-small\" data-ph=\"Photo: power LED on (red)\"><\/div>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 7 -->\r\n      <section id=\"app\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">7<\/span> The app \u2014 first connection<\/h2>\r\n        <p>The app is available for <strong>Windows<\/strong> and <strong>Android<\/strong>. If you haven&#8217;t installed it yet, grab it from the <a href=\"\/index.php\/#download\">downloads section<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"eg-shots\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PC app \u2014 Welcome screen\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-tall\" data-ph=\"Mobile app \u2014 Welcome\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <ol class=\"eg-list eg-list-num\">\r\n          <li><strong>Language:<\/strong> switch the app language.<\/li>\r\n          <li><strong>Info:<\/strong> show information about the app.<\/li>\r\n          <li><strong>Connection type:<\/strong> choose Wi-Fi (preferred) or USB (slower).<\/li>\r\n          <li><strong>Connect:<\/strong> when ready, press Connect to start.<\/li>\r\n        <\/ol>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"eg-note\">\r\n          <strong>Wi-Fi note:<\/strong> from your phone or PC, first connect to the board&#8217;s Wi-Fi. The network always starts with <code>EORaptor-xxxxxx<\/code>.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 8 -->\r\n      <section id=\"main-screen\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">8<\/span> Main screen<\/h2>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-shots\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PC \u2014 Main screen\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-tall\" data-ph=\"Mobile \u2014 Main screen\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <ol class=\"eg-list eg-list-num\">\r\n          <li><strong>Language:<\/strong> change UI language.<\/li>\r\n          <li><strong>Info:<\/strong> information \/ about.<\/li>\r\n          <li><strong>Flash Mode:<\/strong> cuts power from PSU to motherboard so the board can work without interruptions \u2014 very useful when installed inside the console. <strong>When Flash Mode is ON you cannot power on the console.<\/strong> To power the console, toggle Flash Mode OFF. Do not run operations while Flash Mode is OFF.<\/li>\r\n          <li><strong>Available modes:<\/strong> SFlash \u00b7 Syscon \u00b7 UART \u00b7 Backup\/Restore \u00b7 Multiboot.<\/li>\r\n        <\/ol>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 9 -->\r\n      <section id=\"first-unlock\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">9<\/span> First time: unlock Syscon<\/h2>\r\n        <p>The first time you connect to a console, unlock Syscon. Open the <strong>Syscon<\/strong> page and click <strong>Read<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-shots\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PC \u2014 Syscon Read, step 1\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-tall\" data-ph=\"Mobile \u2014 Syscon Read, step 1\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-shots\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PC \u2014 Syscon Read, step 2\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-tall\" data-ph=\"Mobile \u2014 Syscon Read, step 2\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-note\">\r\n          <strong>After success:<\/strong> the app asks you to solder VDD back. After that you don&#8217;t need to connect VDD again for this console.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 10 -->\r\n      <section id=\"wiring-checks\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">10<\/span> Wiring checks &amp; errors<\/h2>\r\n        <p>The board always tests your wires before doing an operation.<\/p>\r\n        <ul class=\"eg-list\">\r\n          <li><strong>Failed to switch to Syscon<\/strong> \u2192 a problem on the Syscon side. Re-check Syscon wires.<\/li>\r\n          <li><strong>Failed to switch SFlash<\/strong> \/ <strong>Unknown Manufacturer ID<\/strong> \/ <strong>Unknown Chip ID<\/strong> \u2192 a problem on the SFlash wires.<\/li>\r\n        <\/ul>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 11 -->\r\n      <section id=\"backup\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">11<\/span> Backup &amp; Restore<\/h2>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-shots\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PC \u2014 Backup screen\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-tall\" data-ph=\"Mobile \u2014 Backup screen\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <p>Always make a full backup of the console first. The board makes it easy:<\/p>\r\n        <ol class=\"eg-list eg-list-num\">\r\n          <li>Click <strong>Backup<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n          <li>Choose a folder where the backup will be saved.<\/li>\r\n          <li>Done.<\/li>\r\n        <\/ol>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-note\">\r\n          <strong>Note:<\/strong> you can save many backups of the same console \u2014 or other consoles \u2014 in the same folder. On restore, the app automatically detects which backups belong to this console.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <p>To restore, click <strong>Restore<\/strong> and choose the folder with your backups. The app shows the date\/time and FW version for each one.<\/p>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PC \u2014 Restore list\"><\/div>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 12 -->\r\n      <section id=\"sflash\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">12<\/span> SFlash<\/h2>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-shots\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PC \u2014 SFlash\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-tall\" data-ph=\"Mobile \u2014 SFlash\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <p>To <strong>read<\/strong> SFlash: click <strong>Read<\/strong> \u2192 choose where to save \u2192 choose a file name.<\/p>\r\n        <p>To <strong>write<\/strong> SFlash back: click <strong>Write<\/strong> \u2192 select the file to write.<\/p>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-note\">\r\n          <strong>Safety:<\/strong> the board checks the console serial number against the serial inside the file. If they don&#8217;t match, it warns that the file doesn&#8217;t belong to this console \u2014 preventing bricks.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 13 -->\r\n      <section id=\"syscon-page\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">13<\/span> Syscon page<\/h2>\r\n        <div class=\"eg-shots\">\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph\" data-ph=\"PC \u2014 Syscon page\"><\/div>\r\n          <div class=\"eg-ph eg-ph-tall\" data-ph=\"Mobile \u2014 Syscon page\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <p>Click <strong>Read<\/strong> to get a full reading of your PS4 Syscon and save it. Click <strong>Write<\/strong> to write Syscon back.<\/p>\r\n      <\/section>\r\n\r\n      <!-- 14 -->\r\n      <section id=\"multiboot\" class=\"eg-sec\">\r\n        <h2><span class=\"eg-num\">14<\/span> Multiboot<\/h2>\r\n        <p>Multiboot is one of the best features. Make a full backup of your current firmware and later restore it in <strong>under 4 minutes<\/strong>.
